About these terms

By signing up for or using Lead Mule (the "Service"), you ("User") agree to these terms. Lead Mule is operated at leadmule.ai. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

Who can use Lead Mule

Lead Mule is built for licensed and lawfully-operating small businesses (typically owner-operator contractors: landscaping, plumbing, HVAC, handyman, real estate, etc.). You must be 18 or older and authorized to act on behalf of your business.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate business information at sign-up and keep it current.
  • Only message people who have first contacted you — by call, voicemail, text, email, or in-person referral.
  • Don't use Lead Mule for spam, harassment, third-party debt collection, age-gated content (alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, firearms, gambling, adult content), high-risk financial offers, or any unlawful activity.
  • Honor opt-outs immediately. Lead Mule blocks future outbound messages to any number that replies STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT, but you must not attempt to circumvent the block (e.g., by texting from your personal phone instead).

Subscription and billing

Lead Mule is a paid subscription service billed monthly or annually through Stripe. A 14-day free trial is available for new accounts. After the trial, your card is charged at the price shown on the pricing page. You can cancel any time from your account settings; cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

SMS Terms

Program name: Lead Mule.

Program description: Lead Mule sends transactional SMS on behalf of small-business contractors to their inbound leads. Messages include automated replies to missed calls or voicemails, bid quote links, follow-up reminders on outstanding bids, and payment reminders for completed work. Every recipient has had prior direct contact with the contractor sending the message.

Message frequency: Frequency varies based on the contractor's activity and your engagement with them. Typically 1–5 messages per lead per month.

Message and data rates: Msg & data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier may charge for messages you send and receive; Lead Mule has no control over carrier fees.

To opt out: Reply STOP to any Lead Mule message and you will be unsubscribed from future automated SMS from that contractor. You can also reply STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT.

For help: Reply HELP for information about the messages you're receiving. You can also email stephanie@leadmule.ai at any time.

Carrier disclaimer: Carriers (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc.) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Eligible mobile networks: All major U.S. carriers are supported. Service may be unavailable on some smaller regional or prepaid carriers.

Privacy

How we collect and handle data is described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share contact information for marketing purposes.

Service availability

We aim for high uptime but Lead Mule is provided "as is" and "as available." We're not liable for damages arising from service interruption, missed messages, or third-party outages (Twilio, OpenAI, Stripe, Vercel, Supabase).

Termination

You can cancel any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms — particularly the "Your responsibilities" rules around spam, opt-out circumvention, or unlawful use. We'll give notice and a chance to fix when reasonable.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify active Users by email at least 7 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.
